Strictly policing attendees only.
In this 1.5-hour interactive event, MPS’s team will share learnings of their effective new approach for managing and decision-making of Section 5a road traffic toxicology samples, which has enabled them to find extra efficiencies and capacity.
The purpose of the event is for other forces across England and Wales to consider implementing a similar approach to realise additional capacity. A Q&A session will be held at the end.
Find out how to: flag high-priority cases early, get better visibility of samples throughout the six-month statutory time limit, and improve links end-to-end through roads policing, submissions units, forensic analysis and CPS.
Speaking at the event will be:
- Met Forensic Services, Elaine Sidgwick and Dean Ames
- NPCC Roads Policing, Detective Superintendent Paul Keasey
- CPS
- FCN Science Director, Vickie Burgin
People working in forensics, roads policing and CPS will all benefit from attending this event. Strictly policing only. Maximum 250 attendees, first come, first served. A recording of the event will be made available to policing colleagues afterwards.
Joining instructions will be sent out on Monday 21st June.
